i can still remember the electrifying waves that went through my bones and skin when i first listened to the music of incubus, almost 10 years ago.The album?S.C.I.E.N.C.E. I was at the tattoo parlor somewhere in sta.mesa to buy some surgical body jewelries for my body piercing business that time when the tattoo artist,(Mong) played his vintage cassette player with the virgin sound of incubus.I was only 3rd year hs that time.Bald,pierced septum and skinny, that was Bryan, 10 years ago..After i heard their stuff, I found myself paying at the cashier of odyssey at sm centerpoint for a gadget that would burst my senses really wild.
Now,after 10 years of music,they’re still here,but in another genre;Pop-Rock.I can’t blame them for switching to other type of sound,for dancing to the beat of money and masses,for posing under the light of fame.They got what they wanted,Golden butter.Although they crossed beyond the genre they’ve started, they’re still great musicians in many ways.For me, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is the best of Incubus.
